2019 was the 20th Anniversary of our charity being established. With the kind permission of the Dean and Chapter of Southwell Cathedral, we held a special service Long view of congregation seated in Southwell Minster for 20th Anniversray Serviceat Southwell Minster on Monday 9th December. We were delighted that so many of our clients, families, volunteers, staff and supporters from near and far could join us on the night.

Founding trustee Valerie Harris told the story of how a Picture of Valerie Harris, founding Trustee of Reach Learning Disability speaking at 20th Anniversray Servicesmall group of parents met to create the Southwell Care Project to support adults with learning disabilities in Southwell, which became Reach Learning Disability in 2014.

Highlights of the service included a moving singing performance by clients, staff and volunteers from our Reach centres in Southwell, Mansfield, Newark and Flower Pod, a dance by Reach Newark’s Dancers, and the lighting of a festive wreath created at Flower Pod, accompanied by Don’t Stop Our Dreaming, a collaborative song written and performed by Reach Southwell’s Media Fun group.

You add so much to our daughter’s life that could not come from anywhere else.”
