“Empower” launched with help from Reach

In News by Sarosha Byrne

Last week we were invited to a special event hosted by researchers Joy and Miriam from Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and Centre for Rehabilitation Ageing Research, University of Nottingham.

Clients from Reach and two other groups have co-produced resources with the researchers to help people with learning disabilities to decide whether to take part in research.

The resource has been named ‘Empower’ (Empowering Adults with Learning Disabilities to take part in research).

The researchers were helped by a production company, Crocodile House, to put together various resources, including videos.

We have loved working on this project and are proud that the work we’ve done will support other people with learning disabilities to participate in research in the future.
