It has been non-stop progress at our Reach centres lately.
Flower Pod Newark are now proud owners of a new building! We are very thankful to all the businesses who helped make this possible and we are already enjoying the shelter, warmth and electricity that it provides. We are looking forward to decorating the insides to reflect our creativity and make it feel like home.
The Computer group at Reach Newark have gained new skills delivering presentations on all sorts of topics, including Harry Potter, football, The Olympics and much more. We have also been learning our times tables in Educational Fun and playing Bingo to wind down on Fridays.
Reach Mansfield has been having fun too. In our Out and About group we have been having a relaxing time painting ceramics at The Glazey Palace in Mansfield. We have also been decorating some delicious cakes in the Baking session – they tasted great!
At Flower Pod Southwell we have been creating nature art as part of our Arts and Culture Inspire course, foraging for all sorts of natural materials. Reach staff also came together from across the centres for a fantastic team building day, clearing paths, sorting logs and making bug hotels.
Reach Southwell’s Women’s Group have been using their Sunflower lanyards for the first time on their Nottinghamshire Towns By Bus Inspire course. On our Get-Wise Video Production course we have been writing and performing scripts with a spooky theme for October!
